NYC Solo-ish

There was definitely a time in my life that I wanted to live in New York. Never having been to the state, I knew leading a Carrie Bradshaw-esque life would just be f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s. Little did I know, once I finally visited, that I would be overwhelmed and intimidated by the fast pace lifestyle–cabs zooming by, trash piled high on street corners, the no-nonsense attitude–even crossing the street is scary! This time around I’m ready to put my big-girl shoes on (literally & metaphorically) and face New York, because truth be told, I will not always have someone to hold my hand (again, literally) each time I need to cross the street or hail a cab.
