Working up a good sweat can work miracles, honestly. I’ve always known that 30 minutes of exercise a day is truly all you need to maintain a healthy lifestyle, but taking it to the next level (actually breaking a sweat) is even better. Since I’ve discovered TRX (and became completely addicted) taking things to the next level and sweating my butt off has never been easier. It is a fun, challenging, and rewarding work-out that really does show results. I’m not exaggerating when I say my butt has plumped up (in a good way according to my fiancé), my legs are firm, and my arms are a lot more toned–a complete body work-out.
Something else that I’ve noticed that TRX has brought to my life is a sense of clarity. The instructors I see at least 3 times a week have a way to make me feel like nothing else in the world is more important than my wellbeing. The music, words of encouragement, and the endorphins all work together to create this indescribably awesome feeling after a 50-minute class. It really does help me clear my head and leave that room feeling like I can tackle just about anything. That alone is enough to keep me motivated to attend.
And then there’s times when a good hike with a friend, or even alone (aka with the doggies), is all you want. Fresh air, beautiful views, and the sun shining down on your skin has a completely different effect. It’s more serene and slow-paced but can give that same clarity. Living an active lifestyle is very important to me and I’m just happy to have found an outlet that serves multiple purposes in my life (because at the end of the day, I’m still a busy-body who must multi-task no matter what I’m doing).
