2026 VISION Board
Hi! It’s been a long minute since I’ve sat down to actually write an entry over here. Life, as I’m sure you can imagine, always seems to be moving at 100mph and just when I feel like things “slow down,” something else takes its place. Part of my 2026 vision was for me to write more. It truly is such a therapeutic exercise for me and I feel so much more connected to this community when I’m sharing more of my personal life perspectives with you guys. To kick off my goal, I thought I’d start by sharing a glimpse into my 2026 vision board. I started doing this last year (as a way to sort of replace traditional resolutions) and feel that visualizing the life I want for myself aligns a lot more with how I bring things like this into fruition rather than just writing them down.
The Vision
Lots of home projects. Capri’s room, our upstairs hallway, the gym, & slowly adding personal touches throughout the house. Up until this point I’ve been focusing on the larger pieces our home needed, but now I’m ready to add more personality – family pictures, texture, layers, lighting, accessories. While my laundry room (from my 2025 vision board) didn’t quite make it into reality, I’m still dreaming up of that (hopefully 2027)!
Tennis, tennis & more tennis. I took up tennis 2 years ago and spent the first full year strictly taking lessons. I didn’t feel confident playing with others until my second year, and then somehow also joined a tennis league?! This year I’m not on league, but stepping up to 3x per week to really improve my game since I want this to become a long-term hobby for me.
More reading. I’m currently juggling a book on my Kindle & also an Audiobook at all times. To be honest, I feel like I read a lot but would love to limit screen time to make time for more reading. I find so much more value & enjoyment out of reading than mindlessly scrolling.
Invest in timeless pieces for my wardrobe. I will forever buy the more affordable option when going for trendy items, but when it comes to timeless pieces I want to invest in quality. Blazers, leather jackets, sweaters, and shoes are currently the pieces I want to acquire a good collection of that can last me for years.
Bake fresh bread. Yes, I know I’m late to this one, but I was never a baker. Still am not. However, my family eats so much store-bought sourdough that I feel like it’s time. I’m telling myself I only need to master this one so I don’t get overwhelmed and abandon this goal altogether. Keep you posted on how it goes.
Staying aligned. Such a simple word that holds so much meaning. I went through a lot of change last year in both a personal & professional capacity and now being on the other side of it, I’m realizing the most important part that kept me moving forward was staying aligned. With people, life decisions, how I live my life, etc. Feeling like you’re on the same page as your spouse, family, friends, co-workers, community, & so on is something I don’t take for granted. It can be hard work to get there but feeling aligned is one of the most underrated feelings imo.
That’s it. Keeping it short & sweet this year. Will check in with you guys same time next year on what we are envisioning for 2027!
