SUNSET SAIL TO PAROS
After a wild week on Mykonos with our nearest and dearest, we decided to slow things down once everyone arrived on Naxos. Obviously everyone knows the sunsets in Greece are out of this world and so it was mandatory that we somehow incorporate 1) everyone, 2) the sunset, 3) good cocktails & food, 4) good music, and 5) the ocean into one of our wedding events. A sunset sail seemed to be the best option for all our requirements, no?
I’m so happy we planned this outing. It was something purely magical–the ambiance, the unintentional matching of blue and white among everyone’s ensembles, the lighting…am I making sense anymore? I feel as though I’m pretty biased, as I was the one getting married and overjoyed with emotions, but I have to say, if you didn’t find Greece extraordinary there might be something wrong with you.
We sailed just before sunset to the island Paros (a nearby island to Naxos) and docked for a bit in order to give everyone a chance to glimpse yet another beautiful spot. Leave it to my father (the life of the party, seriously!) to jump into the water as we were stopped and get everyone else to join in. I’m so thankful for this evening we shared with our guests. Everyone looked so beautiful and made yet another day on Naxos one I will never forget.
