ALL WHITE IN SPRING?
Last weekend I showed up to brunch in white jeans, a white t-shirt, white flats, and a cognac jacket thrown over my shoulders. Not an unusual look for me (I tend to wear the same 10 items I love over and over). However, the group I was with found my outfit conversation-worthy because they were confused if it is ok to wear white now??
Umm…this might be a tad embarrassing to admit but I have no effing clue what people are talking about when they say “no white after Labor Day.” Like, zero clue. Technically that would mean there is never an appropriate time to we wear white, right? Am I just being totally special right now? You tell me.
I don’t care what time of year it is, I wear white (and all white at that) religiously. I probably own just as much white clothing as I do black, so naturally I’m wearing it just as often. It might be a “spring” color but there’s nothing I love more than an all-white, crisp look. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I also love how easy it is to throw a look together when it’s all white…not much thinking involved. So yes, it is most definitely acceptable to wear white now. And always.
